My Vision

My vision for Hale County District 1 is a community where every resident is seen, heard, and represented, and where opportunity is not limited by zip code, age, income, or background.

District 1 deserves leadership that listens first, acts with integrity, and works collaboratively to create lasting solutions—especially for those who have historically felt disconnected from local government.

This campaign is about restoring trust, strengthening participation, and ensuring progress that benefits all of District 1.

Hale County Commission District 1 proudly includes:

Moundville

20251018_101717.jpg

Jonathan Rossell is a U.S. Navy veteran, former Mayor of Akron, and servant leader with deep roots in Hale County and a lifelong commitment to public service.

Throughout his career, Jonathan has worked alongside families, seniors, veterans, youth, faith communities, and local organizations to expand access to resources, advocate for local needs, and deliver responsible, results-driven leadership. His experience in public service has shaped a leadership philosophy grounded in listening first, taking action, and remaining accountable to the people he serves.
